A woman, her daughter, and two grandchildren were burnt to death on Sunday morning at their home in Makueni County. The fire has been suspected to be an arson attack.
Regina Mueni (49), her daughter Faith Mangeli (27), and granddaughters Angel and Amelia Masava (5 and 2 respectively) were sleeping in their house when it was set on fire by unknown individuals.
Faith and her daughters had gone to the home to visit Regina. Makueni Sub-County Police Commander, Timothy Maina, believes the incident was an arson attack due to the strong smell of petrol at the scene.
One suspect, according to Makueni Police Boss Joseph Ole Napeiyan, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
