Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria Arrested

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has been arrested following an uproar on Twitter from netizens urging the police to arrest him on claims that he assaulted a woman.
Netizens used the hashtag #ArrestMosesKuria to make the police and the public aware of him assaulting a woman named Joyce Wanja.
A video of Joyce Wanja narrating what happened to her on that day has been circulating on social media platforms and since sparked outrage from citizens.
In the video, Joyce narrates that she was assaulted on December 8, 2019, when she was invited to Royal Media Services building to discuss the Building Bridges Initiative.
She claims that Kuria assaulted her because she pointed out that his recent remarks he made in Kiambu County were not appropriate for audiences that have children.
Joyce says that she recorded a statement and even filed a P3 form but nothing has been done to ensure that she gets justice. Netizens joined together to publicize the matter in a move that has been the Gatundu South MP arrested and is currently being held at Kilimani Police Station.
