Deputy President William Ruto is set to be featured in a Gengetone Song that highlights the struggles of a hustler. The remix of the song, Mboka ni Mboka, which was written by Wakali Wao will soon be released.
The second in command, who has styled himself as the champion of the hustler’s interests, already performed his part in the video that will soon be released.
Former State House Digital Communications director Dennis Itumbi shared the short video clip on his Instagram account. Ruto is seen dancing to the tune alongside the Wakali Wao artists.
The track highlights the story of Kenyan hustlers who go through a lot to eke a living. It encourages Kenyan youths to work hard and not to despise any income-generating job. The song gives hope to small-scale traders like saloonists , barbers, matatu operators, car wash operators and mama mbogas (grocers).
This is in tandem with the agenda of the Deputy President who is currently marshaling support for his 2022 presidential candidature. The DP has been empowering the downtrodden in the society and has also vowed to pursue their interests once in power.
